Precious Pet Cemetery has been a family owned and operated business since 1993. At that time, Ruth and Albert Van de Wiel saw the need for this service in the Antigonish area when the remains of their beloved dog ended up in the local landfill.Since that time, Ruth and Albert have expanded their coverage area to all of Nova Scotia and helped many people through one of the most difficult times in their lives.

Today the business is owned and operated by Albert and Ruth’s nephew and his family Stephen and Michelle Van de Wiel. Like Ruth and Albert, we are fully committed to providing you with reliable, honest and efficient aftercare for your pet.

We are located 9km’s from the town of Antigonish in the community of James River. At this time we offer private and communal cremations as well as communal burial at our 100% off the grid, facility which is located on our property on the picturesque Beaver Mountain. No matter which aftercare option you choose, we have the ability to provide a dignified, peaceful and private resting place for your beloved pet that has shown you unconditional love and devotion.
